How is this being funded? Where did the $500,000 come from?
This project is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), an expansive $1.9 trillion federal package to help people in communities across the country cope with the economic and public health fallout of the pandemic that includes direct financial assistance to families and individuals, infrastructure investments and pandemic response.
Each Oregon State Senator and Representative received millions of dollars in ARPA funds to distribute across the communities they serve. Senators Chris Gorsek (SD 25) and Kayse Jama (SD 24), and Representative Ricki Ruiz (HD 50) selected Youth Voice, Youth Vote to receive federal funding.
